About Us

Two-Fives is an Indianapolis affiliate of Do For One, a New York City based relationship-building program that brings isolated people into greater community life. People with disabilities are at greater risk of social isolation and not having the friendships that many of us take for granted.

Two-Fives believes in the mission of Do For One and seeks to replicate their goal of helping to form freely-given relationships. This is done by selectively matching one person with disabilities (‘Partner’) with another person who enjoys a more socially included life (‘Advocate’).

Our name, Two-Fives came about after a trip to Belize where it was learned that in Kriol, one of the primary languages spoken there, two-fives is slang for someone you have a close relationship with. The name stuck, especially when broken down to represent the partner and advocate (two) and our core principles (fives) based on the concepts of Social Role Valorization.

Who We Are

LEL Foundation and Two-Fives

LEL Foundation strives to create a world where “The Good Life” is attainable for all.

Our mission is to bring together the disabled and non-disabled population; helping to bridge gaps in understanding and foster acceptance within the community at large through financial supports and active participation.

The Two-Fives program perfectly aligns with the LEL Foundation’s mission by creating social inclusion for people with disabilities. The program brings together adults of all abilities to form authentic one-to-one relationships that are based on common interests and provide opportunities for socialization. This program will increase the social determinants of health for all involved which will translate to decreased morbidity and mortality rates for those with disabilities.
